Its been a while since I have posted on the blog. With finding Facebook I have been preoccupied playing over there and neglectfully not paying enough attention to my original blog!... Bad blogger I know!!
Tons have been going on, school, puberty, terrible twos, Winter and now a New President. History was made yesterday and yet again I was able to witness history in the making sitting in front of my flat screen and enjoy it HD style! My Granny on my mothers side who is still living strong at 98 years old was in amazement. She still recalls the days of segregation in its prime and now she is governed by an African American. Yes, that part is really awesome. I question the Character and excessive Liberal thought behind the man but am ready for him to show me what he's got!
Jeremy has been home straight since December and the kids has LOVED having him here on such a more constant basis. The season starts back up in Febuary so he will be gone ALOT again coming up soon. BLAH!
In complience with the guidence of our Church leaders we have been working on Emergency Preparedness in our home. "If ye are prepared ye shall not fear." It is alwasy a good idea to prepare for the unknown so to be in a position to survive and care for your family. "The Church and its members are commanded by the Lord to be self-reliant and independent." Having a supply of essential foods, clothing, fuel, and water will help us during times of personal and natural disasters. We must be prepared for calamities that may come our way. Having what we need and knowing what to do in the event of an emergency or other calamity can bring us peace and help us overcome fear. In such tumultuous times with wars and rumors of war it is not only wise to be prepared but almost a necessity. We as a family now have our 72 Hour Kits updated, complete and readily accessible with the exception of water. I haven't figured out how store that much water for a grab and run. We have our Car Emergency Kit in place. We have started our year supply of Food Storage and are preparing to take some CPR, First Aid and Emergency Preparedness classes. I already feel a small amount of peace washing over our home.
